Andrea CARPIGNANO

Strategy Manager and Coordiantor

Professor at the Politecnico di Torino, Energy Department. In charge of the courses “Safety and Risk Analysis” and “Risk Analysis” since 1996. Member of the Engineering professionals list in Asti (Italy) n. 365. He is expert in advanced methodologies for risk assessment and reliability studies and maintenance engineering for complex technical systems. He is author of more than 50 papers on international technical journals and books.

Coordinator and founder of the Master course in Reliability, Maintenance and Safety of the Politecnico di Torino 2003-2014. Vice coordinator for the SUPSI (Lugano) Master in Industrial Engineering and Operations (MASIEO) since 2014.

He is referee for the Journals Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Cognition, Technology and Work, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.

He is the representative for Politecnico di Torino inside ESRA (European Safety and Reliability Association). He was RAMS expert consultant for the RINA and TUV Italia certification bodies.

Celeste CARPIGNANO

Sole Director

He obtained Agriculture Technician Diploma in 1956.

He is RAMS&E charter member. From 1956 to1963 he had been assistant director of Agriculture Company with a surface of more than 150 hectare where it was growing grapes, cereals, beet and rice.

From 1963 to 1998 he had been working for French agro-pharmaceutical company with many roles and responsibilities in commercial department.

 

Francesco GANCI

TTI Sector Responsible

He graduated in Nuclear Engineering in 2005 and he had a PhD in Industrial Safety and Risk Analysis in 2009 in Polytechnic of Turin. He has been in Turin certificated engineer list since 2006.

Since January 2006, he has been working in RAMS&E in the activities about risk analysis and industrial safety field, with particular focus on hazard identification studies through qualitative technique (PHA: Process Hazard Analysis), functional analysis, accidental scenario simulation. He has 10 years of experience on the Oil&Gas systems, onshore and offshore as well, chemical plants, and innovative green energy processes.

Since January 2017 he has been covering the role of TTI Sector Responsible (Technology Transfer and Innovation), coordinating the PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) services, training, research and development.

Since the beginning of the PhD course in the 2006, he has collaborated with RAMS&E for the development of innovative risk analysis methodologies and the accidental scenario simulation. Nowadays he maintains a tight contact with the Polytechnic of Turin for new collaborations on Oil&Gas research programs and training.

Since 2007 he has been teaching reliability and safety topics for Clients in several countries.

He is author of more than 10 scientific papers for journals and also national and international conference talks about Risk analysis and Industrial Safety; he has been reader for “International Journal of Hydrogen Energy” and for “Journal of Hazardous Materials”.

Gabriele BALLOCCO

Technical Manager for the RAMS area & HSE Sector Responsible

Has a degree in Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Industrial Safety and Risk Analysis. He had been working in RAMS&E since 2000 to 2004, as a consultant for HSE matters. Then he worked at Assystmebrime Spa until 2006 as RAMS senior engineer, being employed for the most of the time as resident consultant at ALSTOM Transport Belgium. Until 2010 he worked at Det Norske Veritas Italia Srl, as Lead Assessor within the Energy Sector and, afterwards, as Project Leader within the Key Customer Department. Since may 2010 he has been HSE Sector Responsible in RAMS&E srl, since January 2017 he is the Techical Manager for the RAMS area. His competencies include the RAMS analysis of complex technological systems, Quantitative Risk Assessment, HSE Management Systems. He is a qualified lead auditor for the schemes ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. He carries out training activities on HSE matters.

Mauro MONTRUCCHIO

Environment Technical Director

Mauro Montrucchio is Environmental Technical Director in RAMS&E. He has been in Asti certificated engineer list since 1990 in 371st position. From 1998 he has been working in environmental impact studies sector and on environmental mitigation structures projects.

He has worked on environmental impact evaluation of some of the most important installation of energy and facility industry in Italy and abroad.

He is expert in Acoustic measurement according the low 447 of 26/10/1995 (he is certificated and he is in Piemonte region list, position a/69).

From September 2002 he has been working on research projects in environmental impact assessment and strategic environmental assessment sectors for Environmental Department of Turin Polytechnic

He does teaching activities for Turin Polytechnic: since 2004 he has been teaching  "Environmental impact of Energetic system"  on Master’s Degree “Energy and Nuclear engineering” course and since 2010 he has had being chair of “Environmental evaluation” on Master’s Degree “Regional, Urban and Environmental planning” course.

Michele PICCINI

Bachelor in Nuclear Engineering in 1998 and PhD in Energetics in 2002.

Member of Cuneo Engineers list since 27/06/2000 (n° A/1641).

Partner of RAMS&E since year 2000, with the role of RAM Sector Manager.

RAMS & HSE Specialist – Certified Functional Safety Expert: more than 15 years of experience in advanced RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintenance and Safety), RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance), O&M (Operation and Maintenance), Risk and Functional Safety for Complex Technological System, Industrial Plants (Power, Oil & Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical) and Transportation Systems and Facilities.

Design and lecturing of Training Courses on RAMS, RCM, Risk and Functional Safety (International Standard IEC EN 61508 and norms related) for National and International Companies, and Italian Universities (Politecnico di Torino, Università di Bologna), Training Companies (Politecnico di Torino, SUPSI, COREP,Eni Corporate University, TUV Akademy, TUV Rheinland, etc.).

Author and/or co-author of more than 25 scientific papers for national and international scientific journals, national and international conferences, European Commission technical notes, Politecnico di Torino official internal reports and research contract reports.

Alessandra BRUGNOLARO

She graduated in Nuclear Engineering in 2006 at Politecnico di Torino.

Since 2006 she is has been working for the company RAMS&E S.R.L., and she currently is the Project Manager for the RAMS&HSE Sector.

She has nearly 10 years of experience in Risk Analysis for Complex Technological System and of advanced RAMS analysis (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) for industrial installations (Power, Oil&Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical).

The performed and managed activities have allowed her to gain experience in the hazard identification, the probabilistic assessment of accidental scenarios (fires, explosions of gas, vapours and dusts, releases of toxic substances), the evaluation of accidental consequences and in the estimation of the adequacy of the prevention and protection systems. Most of the performed professional activities are related to the energy sector, Oil&Gas, GNL plants and chemical plants.

Since 2008 she carries out teaching activities on the themes of analysis of accidental consequences in industrial systems and in RAMS analysis for complex technological systems, within the context of Master courses of first and second level (COREP).

Since 2011 she carries out teaching activities in the context of Training for Installations at Risk of Major Accident and for companies in the Chemical and Oil&Gas sector on the themes of process safety, functional safety and risk analysis.

Eleonora Bosio

She graduated in Environmental and the Territory Engineering in 2003 and obtained a Masters in Reliability, Maintainability and Safety of Complex Systems in 2005.

She is a member of the Engineering professionals list of Turin since 04/20/2005 (n° 9731T) and of the list of Energy Certification of the Piedmont Region since 2009.

She worked for three years in a company of the railway sector, becoming a freelance in 2007 and starting the cooperation with RAMS&E.

She has more than 10 years of experience in the field of the analysis RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) and Maintenance Engineering for complex technological systems and in particular, transport systems and infrastructures.

Since 2015, after gaining more than 5 years experience in the field of Safety and Health at Work, she is in charge of the Prevention and Protection Service for RAMS & E.

Elisa CARANTONI

She is graduated in Environmental engineering in Turin Politechnic, year 2003. She has been enrolled on Turin Engineers Association register since 2006, with number 10314 R.

Starting on year 2004 she has been dealing with environmental impact studies and environmental mitigation works design. She developed analysis about road infrastructures, facilities, energy plants and shopping centres of different typology and dimension.

Since 2008 to 2012 she cooperated with Hydroaid as project manager in charge of implementation of technical training programmes addressed to Developing Countries about water and sanitation sectors.

She is qualified technician in environmental acoustics as per L.26/10/1995 n.447 (officially recognized by DD Piedmont Region n.121 of 07/06/2006, position a/638).

Since 2012 she has regularly cooperated with RAMS&E in Environment Sector, developing analysis and modeling about atmosphere and noise components, preparing related normative procedures, and teaching in training courses about these subjects.

Gabriele CASSETTI

He has achieved his MSc in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in Italy in 2009 and the PhD in Energetic Engineering in 2014.

In 2009 he completed the advanced course “Environmental risk assessment and management”, organized by Cineas.

From 2014 to 2016 he worked as research associate at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano, Italy, focusing on risk analysis in industrial plants, and developing competences in Quantitative Risk Analysis, Hazard Operability Analysis (IEC61881-2001), Safety Integrity Level (IEC 61508) and Hazardous Area Classification (IEC60079-10, API, NFPA, HSE UK, IP).

He teaches ‘Energy for Sustainable Development’ at Politecnico di Milano.

He is author of scientific papers presented in national and international conferences and published in international journals and he is reviewer for the International Journals Sustainability and Energy Conversion and Management.

In 2016 started the experience in legal consultancy.

Giovanni MORTARINO

He obtained, at Politecnico di Torino, the MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Design) in 2004 and the PhD Degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 2008. During PhD he focused mainly on Technology of Metallic Materials and Fracture Mechanics.

Till 2011 he effected researches, at Politecnico di Torino, about metallurgy, aeronautical application of fuel cells, computational models for bearings to be applied to gear motors with high power density.

In 2011 he got a II level Specializing Master Degree in “Safety engineering and risk analysis” at Politecnico di Torino.

From 2011 his activities are focused on risk analyses applied to petrochemical plants and reliability analyses.

Giuseppe ABATE

He graduated in Energy and Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2017.

During his studies he earned competences to design components, equipment and systems for the generation of thermal, mechanical and electrical energy through innovative processes involving fossil fuels and renewable sources.

He developed the Master degree thesis in Stockhom (Sweden) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the highest ranked university of technology in northern mainland Europe. This thesis aims to investigate the possibility to convert renewable electrical energy in chemicals by the use of innovative electrolytic cells.

Since June 2017 he has been working in RAMS&E, where is mainly involved in risk analysis activities and maintenance engineering, in particular for transportation systems and railway industry.

Irene ZANIRATTI

She obtained the Master degree in Environmental Engineering in 2008 at the Polytechnic of Turin. She is enrolled on Turin Engineers Association register since.

She has over 5 years of experience in environmental procedures, environmental impact assessments, monitoring plans and simulations of pollutants dispersion into the atmosphere, gained in engineering and publicly owned corporation.

From January 2015 she works in the Environmental sector of RAMS&E, following authorization procedures for environmental plants and factories and performs modeling simulations for air and noise studies.

Luca PORTE'

He obtained the Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering in 2012 and the Master degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering in December 2014, both at the Polytechnic of Turin. He developed the Master degree thesis in collaboration with RAMS&E regarding the application of risk analysis methodologies QRA and FERA for Oil&Gas production plant. Then, he obtained the post-graduated course Master “MASIEO Master in Advanced Studies in Industrial Engineering and Operations” (SUPSI, COREP, RAMS&E). Since December 2015 he has been working in RAMS&E, where is mainly involved in risk analysis projects. He gained experience in various activities regarding FERA, QRA, HAZOP and SIL assessment for chemical and Oil&Gas plants.   

Maria Pia COLASANTO

She obtained Industrial Engineering Master Degree in 2002 and she got post-graduated course “Reliability, Maintainability and Safety: analysing and managing methods” organised by Turin Polytechnic in 2011.

She is in Turin certificated engineer list.

Since 2011 consultant for RAMS&E on advanced RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintenance and Safety) analyses especially regarding Functional Safety, Availability Studies and Safety Management System evaluation.

Since 2014 Operations Support Manager and Support Manager for Training Activities in RAMS&E.

She is expert in business management issues, techniques and approaches with a focus on risk management and best practices for the implementation of risk management systems since 2011; since 2012, she is working independently as Lecturer, on those topics, for Polytechnic of Turin and University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI).

Stefano MAROLO

He obtained Energy and Nuclear Engineering Master degree in 2013 in Turin Polytechnic, with a project developed in collaboration with Albapower Spa, based on the study of installation of high efficiency industrial plants.

Since April 2013 he has been working in RAMS&E, where is mainly involved in risk analysis projects.

He gained experience in various activities regarding FERA, QRA and HAZOP for chemical and oil & gas plants.

Stefano PICCOLI

He graduated in Physics Engineering in 2005 (Milan Polytechnic, Bachelor Degree) and in Nuclear Engineering in 2008 (Milan Polytechnic, Master Degree). He is currently in Piacenza certificated engineer list and he is a licensed Energy Auditor according to the Italian regulation.

From 2008 to 2013 he held the position of Reliability and Maintenance Engineer in a major Italian company involved in the Oil & Gas business. In this role, he acquired significant experience in several RAM-related techniques and activities, such as FMEA/FMECA, Monte Carlo modelling for availability studies, maintenance optimization, support to CMMS and so on.

He has been working as a freelance since 2013, beginning as a consultant/shareholder in a company providing engineering services for the energy efficiency market.

He is a RAMS&E contractor since 2015, being involved in RAM and Maintenance Engineering activities.
